It has been said in issue above that the update style feature works only for the currently selected text. This is not what is implied by the help file: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOoAuthors_User_Manual/Writer_Guide/Modifying_styles#Updating_a_style_from_a_selection See also the thread in the URL field for the discussion on the forum.
