2008 -------
On Ubuntu 7.10 using official OOo 2.4.0~rc5 at least for Arial and Times New
Roman fonts from Windows (I haven't checked all) the typeface listing under OOo
shows the spanish names eg:

Normal
cursiva
Negreta
Negreta cursiva

This does not happen with the Gnome font selector on the same fonts so it
appears to be some sort of bug in OOo itself.

You can get some of the fonts from http://corefonts.sourceforge.net/
