Hi
Have used OO v2.0 for quite some time without problems. Now I have installed
(removed all 2.0 rpms before installing) v2.4 (using bundle from
openoffice.org : OOo_2.4.0_LinuxIntel_install_wJRE_en-US.tar.gz)

It hangs on the splash screen when the progressbar is at 100%.....
A strace shows that it opens a "__db." file over and over again....

If I delete this "__db." file (which is placed in the homedir) and restart
openoffice, OO get a step further: It closes the splashscreen and opens the
application window. However, here it hangs as well (no menues or anything is
working). Again, a strace reveals that OO tries to open this "__db." file over
and over again.

Any idea what the problem could be ? what is this __db. file anyway ?

My OS :
Mandriva Linux release 2007.1 (Official) for i586
