------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Apr 7 22:46:21 +0000 2008 ------- I can confirm this behaviour with OOo 2.4 and the new OOo DEV 3.0 beta 5 I am using a mandriva loinux installation where the linux login is authenticated using ldap (only root user exist in passwd (as "normal" user account), all the others log in using ldap.) for every user that logs in using ldap, OOo 2.2 (that comes with mandriva) crashes with a segmentation fault (just after reading passwd file) OOo 2.4 downloaded from openoffice.org website crashes with segmentation fault, and the new beta of OOo 3 also crashes with segmentation fault. If I create a local account on that machine and starts OOo from that account, everything works as expected. This is a very serious bug which unfourtunally might mean that OOo cannot be used for local goverments, etc where centralized user managment is used (ldap). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
