I love the sneaky attempt to reassign this to me :-)
Almost certainly nothing to do with OpenOffice.org itself, e.g. try running
glxgears that'll probably fail as well. Direct questions about the proprietary
video driver to their forums, the burden of proof for blame is the other way
around in this case.
