So, as decided by Nils' team, there will be no Windows system integration at
all.
I created a dynamic process using the global property WRITE_REGISTRY. This can
be set on the command line. Additionally a custom action could look for older
product versions and also set WRITE_REGISTRY, if no older version was found. But
now, WRITE_REGISTRY is set to "0" for all Beta products.
