Thank you very much. Please leave issue up so I can refer others to it. In
summation the solution for embedding a .swf file is as follows:
1) Download (or copy) the file npswf32.dll (http://www.dll-
files.com/dllindex/pop.php?npswf32)
2) Put npswf32.dll in the directory: C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.4
\program\plugin
3) In impress (or other OOo program), go to Insert/object/plugin (then
select .swf files under the dialog box).
I am glad to finally get rid of MS$$$$$$$!
