So - it is interesting to me (given the ongoing allusions to this bug), that
apparently the Sun changes here have broken the gtk+ quickstarter on unix:

Besides not being true: Tor did the QA; it sees Sun's testing of it's changes on
two platforms appears not to have worked either: perhaps because the gtk+
quickstarter is (apparently) disabled by default on Unix in Sun's builds [why?].

Either way; now if you build the code, you find that if you select "Open
Document" from the menu - then (eg.) cancel the file selector (or even open a
document) - the "Open Document" and "Exit quickstarter" menu entries remain
insensitive & un-usable thereafter :-) that was not the case before. I'll chase
& file another bug.
