I can't confirm. I've installed OOo 2.2. Updated 2.2 with 2.3, updated 2.3 with
2.4. Every update
\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{82154420-0FBF-11d4-8313-005004526AB4}\LocalServer32\
has been updated to the new OOo installation.
