So let's wait for the beta. @discoleo: I don't deny that import into Writer could be useful, I just don't think that all users asking for the filter and voting here think the same. So by closing this issue and waiting for new input we can get a better estimation how strong this requirement is. BTW: I didn't suggest to *insert* drawing documents into Writer, I wanted to suggest that Writer directly creates a text document from the odg file. This could be an alternative and much cheaper solution. And it has the additional advantage that we can get a text import into Writer for all drawing or impress documents, including ppt files.
