2008 -------
In several of my engineering documents, created in Word XP and 2003, I use the
Word's "call-out" auto-shapes quite often to comment on diagrams and graphs.
The call-out autoshapes are imported by Writer as editable shapes, but with a
problem. The original call-out shapes, which is composed of three line segments
and associated text, when imported by Writer, show added "arrow heads" in all
three line segments (only one segment should have the arrow-head, as displayed
by Microsoft Word 2003).
This is difficult for me to put in words, but very visible in an example. I
attach a document to this issue report. With respect to this document:
File: "Trabajo Profesional - Cap 4 - Analisis de Soluciones.doc"
Page 21:
- the shape-based diagram in the middle of the page shows the problem
twice; see how the call-out shapes have the two extra arrow-heads, that make the
call-out look funny.
Page 22:
- Same problem, in the diagram at the bottom of the page
This document displays fine with no problems in Word 2003.
