This seems to be more a thread deadlock than a crash.
Fixed by not calling join in the thread used for the TimerScheduler of the
PresenterTimer.
When the TimerScheduler is shut down, the loop int the thread's run() method is
canceled (by resetting the loop flag and waking up the thread). An explicit
join should not be necessary. Nobody has to wait for the thread to end.
