volkerme is quite right; somehow I managed to miss that capability going
through the options. My apologies to the all concerned. The issue will be
marked as closed.
I do still think it would be a good thing to add to OOo's dialogs though, to be
able to go directly to a different drive without drilling up the heirarchy. I
prefer OOo's presentation over MS but at least now I know to just tick/untick
the "Use Openoffice.org dialogs" in "Options-General" to switch back and forth.
