If it has been removed with the intent of never being re-enabled, then that *definitely* is a defect, as it is a crucial function for a Windows application. So I don't see how removing Windows integration is at all a good idea. Especially if someone intends for it to be removed permenantly, which would break the way most people would work with the application. Also, removing integration makes the programme look *less* polished, and likely would remove it from consideration for otherwise interested users.
