I'm trying out the beta on an Asus G1 laptop, with XP Media Center Edition. This
bug is mostly for Writer, but it is an issue for every OOo application. I cannot
get windows to associate .odt or .doc files with open office. I have MS Word
installed also, and when I right click on .doc or .odt files, and then try to
use the open with dialog, OOo 3 does not appear in the available programs to
open the documents. Furthermore, when I choose browse, and then manually select
swriter.exe from the open with dialog, nothing happens. The files do not open.
Further, when i right click on the desktop, and hover over "new," none of the
OOo applications appear. I've tried adding and deleting values from my registry
just in case it was overflowed with options, but it didn't work.
