Is it really disappearing? IMHO it is still there - but in the previous window.
And this is as it was specified: macro recording only works inside a window but
doesn't work over more than one window. The reason is that Basic has no names
for windows so that focus changes between windows can't be recorded.
Please check if the recording floater still is in the first window if you put
the focus back. If not, please reopen this issue. If yes, please close this
issue.
Target should be 3.x as we don't have any time to fix that in 3.0.
