Who met the same question what I met ?
I thought it was a defect.
The text wasn't displayed, when I inputed any Chinese characters or Japanese
characters and used a bigger font size( >= 12 or more ). 
If I set these texts to be black,  they could be displayed whatever their size
are how much. 
I use SLED10-sp1 and the OpenOffice.org version is dev300-m10.
Reproduce:
    To create a document and input any CJK words or to load a document there are
some CJK words.
    To change into a bigger font size  or to select a bigger zoom factor.
