In this case the Mac OSX CoreGraphics methods CGDisplayPixelsWide, 
CGDisplayPixelsHigh and CGDisplayScreenSize seem to return incorrect values: 
CGDisplayPixelsWide seems to be adjusted, but the CGDisplayScreenSize result 
doesn't match.

That's a bug in the Matrox TripleHead2Go driver. The best would be to have it 
fixed. There is no way to 
calculate the resolution of the main display if the OSX core graphics API 
returns bad values. If there was a 
way to tell that the return values are bogus we'd ignore them...
