Confimed w/ XP and OO.o 2.4 and 3.0 Beta against a Thunderbird 2.0.14
addressbook

the use of IS NULL, IS EMPTY, <> NULL, <> EMPTY all return the same results,
which is records where the tested firls IS NOT NULL.

While IS NOT NULL generates an error of "SQL to complex". So it is not possible
to query for records where a certain field is NULL.
