Now that this issue is fixed, "select all" works like this: Any hidden paragraphs at the beginning of the document are skipped, and hidden paragraphs at the end of a document are skipped as well. The paragraphs in the middle are selected. If I understand this issue right, this issue is about the problem, that a "select all" does not select the hidden paragraphs at the beginning/end of a document.
