Actually it is sufficient to avoid the original crash to get the desired
behavior, so I removed the exception introduced to fix this bug again.

>From reading the code I think that OOo still crashes when it encounters
unexpected xml tags, but this is rather unlikely to happen. With 'recently-used'
being replaced by the gtk-recent-manager API, I leave this particular code the
way it is now.

Fix committed in CWS obr09.
