Another interesting thing:
If you copy and paste the string to the writer: ϴáéíóú
Then select this string and do "Format -> Character"
There is a preview string and for some Fonts the
string is correct and for others no.

For example:
Is correct for:
Courier
DejaVu (all fonts)
Bitstream Charter
Lohit (all fonts)
Century Schoolbook L


Is incorrect for:
Bitstream Vera (all fonts)
Liberation (all fonts)
Luxi (all fonts)

This confirms that is a FONT problem.
