Hi,

I noticed that "HTML document" no longer appears in the Windows menus.

That is Start -> All Programs -> OpenOffice.org 1.9.79

I suspect this is by design, but I think this is a bad move IMHO.

- Firstly it makes OpenOffice.org look like it has one less module. That IMHO
makes it look like a lesser product.

- James Elliot is an experienced user of OpenOffice.org and from the following
message it appears he did not know what had happened to the Html Editor.

http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=users&msgNo=87675

If experienced users have this problem, then less experienced users will have
even less chance of finding the Html Editor.

- Personally I find Html Editor probably the best feature of OpenOffice.org.
It is the main reason I continue to use and promote OpenOffice.org.

I have always had the feeling the project does not take Html Editor serious.
Certainly many of the users of the product do not consider Html Editor a
serious module (as one person who responded to the above issue stated).

The message I am getting is that Html Editor is disappearing from the Windows
menus. Is the next step that it will disappear from the OpenOffice.org?

The two step approach to removing unwanted features is common in the software
industry.

As you can see I am getting mixed messages from this move. IMHO HTML Editor
should return to the Windows menus.

Thanks for listening.

Kelvin
