I can't confirm: Java installs like charm.
@ fredcl: Have you checksummed your downloaded file? Have you tried to install
Java without the OOo installation: Go to the unpacked OOo 3 installation files
(normally placed on your desktop) and open the Jvav folder. Double click the
jre-6u6-windows-i586-p.exe and try to install it. Does this work?
