As noted at
http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5185
any dates that are on 30 March 1935 or earlier are automatically, and
incorrectly, shifted by one day into the past. Dates that are 31 March 1935 or
later behave properly.

This issue appears in OpenOffice Calc versions 2.4.0, 2.4.1, and also in Beta
3.0. It might appear in earlier versions as well.
