Changing issue type to 'Patch'
->ameliawang: There's already a discussion going on in the
[EMAIL PROTECTED] about this topic.
The base line is that in Word there's a real attribute for character/line units.
That's why Word's measurement unit ListBox doesn't contain a 'Character' unit
but there's a CheckBox named 'Use character units'.
Character units cannot be converted to measurement values as they depend on the
current font size. A left indent of 4 character units for example in a paragraph
with a font size of 12 pt is not the same as at a paragraph with a font size of
24 pt.
In OOXML there are the attributes LeftChars, RightChars, FirstLineChars,
HangingChars, AfterLines, BeforeLines. To implement character units we need to
extend the ODF specification.
