2008 -------
recently, when i open a new OO document, i am unable to SAVE it, either from the
drop-down menu or using the shortcut button in the toolbar. however, i can still
save documents in progress. i believe therefore that the problem involves the
pop-up window that comes up when the options to SAVE AS or OPEN a new document
are selected. to summarize, neither the OPEN or SAVE functions (whether toggled
via the menu or the toolbar) are working. however, this is not always the case.
it seems to happen randomly, although i presume it is due to an interaction with
something i have recently installed on my system. i have now installed OO 2.4.1
which hopefully will not suffer from the same glitch.
