------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jun 26 13:04:39 +0000 2008 ------- @bh: After thinking about it some more, I propose another solution. In the case the VM library cannot be found a better error message should be displayed. Not the one telling about a defective Java. The options dialog should have a "Use default switch". When checked, then only some locations such as /usr/java/default (link to default Java) are used. The "big search" for Java installations would only be done if the user presses a button "search for Java". See also issue i64357. When the user updates the system, and the default java installation is changed, then OOo would use the new Java automatically. Implementation hint: The sunjavaplugin.so needs to use the symbolic link to the Java installation instead of the absolute path of the java.home property. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
