Hi mba, mib,

Thanks for your answers. Here is my advice :

* For a) : I do not intend to investigate more on this point, but it's an
interesting one, I agree with you.

* For b) : I am not aware of any html documents with custom fields in the <head>
tags, but I am aware of badfully crafted html documents, with no <head> tags and
custom tags. But why not, It seems to be a possible case, there's no limit to
human crazyness, according to Einstein :).

* For "If the unknown element occurs in the body, its content is already
inserted.", the current stable and unstable version of OOo are not agree with
you. Take this web page, as suggested on my last comment :
  http://questions.assemblee-nationale.fr/q13/13-8502QE.htm
Make a copy paste in OOo, and see that unknown elements are screwed. See also
that those elements are in the <body> and that there is no <head> tags.

That's not a personal advice, it's the current behaviour of the productivity
suite

I personaly don't like big "if" where there's no explanation about why this
"if" is so big. And according to what I understand of your condition, it does
not treat case where there's no <head> neither <body> tags.
So, what do you think about this comment :
// Allows insertion of unknown tags, in order to improve copy/paste.
// See i#59064 for more information
  Instead of the Deutsch one.

I do not understand, too, why you put those conditions about '!' or '%'. But
anyway, as long as the web page of the french chamber is copy-pastable, you can
do what you want. I have not understand totally this html parser and I do not
have the global view (that you presumably have) on this component. I am not the
maintainer, so feel free to do as you please.

Regards,
