Tested on linux (Ubuntu 7.10) and found the following when copy and pasting all
from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DIYMarketing/:
OOo 2.3.1 - images (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/htdocs/ubuntu/img/u-www.png - globe)
displays properly. Takes a few seconds for the images to resolve.
OOo 2.4.1 - images appear a square box with the "the image cannot be displayed
because it contains errors".
OOo DEV300_M22 - images appear a square box with the "the image cannot be
displayed because it contains errors".
All three OOo's were open at the same time on the same machine so it cannot be a
network connection issue. Tools|Options|Writer|View}Graphics and Objects is
checked on all three. Screenshots attached.
