I can confirm the issue. After changing the Font for Variables from Times New
Roman to Trebuchet MS (and making it bold), all that is written to Math.xcu is:

for the current session, OOo remembers the settings, but after a restart, the
font dialog only shows emtpy listboxes, it doesn't now what font to chose
anymore.
