The problem described can be confirmed with the downloaded document. --- Test OOo 2.4.1 (german version) <--> OOo 3.0 Beta2 (english version) OS Win2K Test 1: hidden paragraph --- test case 1 begin --- par 1: visible paragraph. i.e. paragraph format template "Standard" par 2: hidden paragraph, i.e. paragraph user defined format template "Standard_Hidden", based on "Standard" AND Text Effect "hidden" par 3: visible paragraph. i.e. paragraph format template "Standard" --- test case 1 end --- behavior in OOo 2.4.1: toggle view (Ctrl+F10) --> par 2 appears/disappears as expected --> o.k. behavior in OOo 3.0 Beta2: toggle view (Ctrl+F10) --> par 2 always visible!!! oops, the user defined paragraph template "Standard_Hidden" is missing the tag Font Effects = hidden. This seems to be a problem ;-( funny effect (probably unintended): if I save the file in OOo3.0 Beta 2 (as ODF 1.1), it will work the correctly in OOo 2.4.1 Test 2: hidden character --- test case 2 begin --- visible - invisible - visible --- test case 2 end --- the secon word has a user defined character template "Standard_Hidden" based on "Standard" with Font Effect set to hidden behavior in OOo 2.4.1: toggle view (Ctrl+F10) --> word 2 appears/disappears as expected --> o.k. behavior in OOo 3.0 Beta2: toggle view (Ctrl+F10) --> par 2 always visible!!! oops, the user defined character style template "Standard_Hidden" is missing the tag Font Effects = hidden.
