It is just this one functionality of copying slides to another presentation that does not work. IMHO this is not a basic functionality anymore. AND: the desired effect of getting a slide from one file to another can be achived more easily and visual with using the slidesorter and drag'n'drop functionality. I can live with this "pity" if the saved time is used for fixing something more severe like a crash.
