------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jul 17 15:00:02 +0000 2008 ------- I believe that WRITE_REGISTRY=1 will update exiting associations, but not create them. So, I had to install 2.4 first and check off the 3 boxes to associate with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint docs. Then I had to install 3.0 using the WRITE_REGISTRY=1 trick, which let 3.0 "take over" the existing registrations from 2.4. Then I was able to uninstall 2.4, leaving only 3.0 installed and associated properly. I hope that helps!
