------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jul 23 19:51:48 +0000 2008 ------- After installing OpenOffice v.2.4.1, ScanSoft PDF Converter software (by Nuance) failed to load. Even after un-installing OpenOffice and PDF Converter and re-installing PDF Converter will not load. The system was also restored to the point before installing OpenOffice. PDF converter still does not operate, even after being repaired. A Norton system scan did not detect any problems. My guess is the OO install changed something in the registries for its own PDF driver which has disabled the ScanSoft program from operating.
