I can only reproduce the "hanging app" problem when multiple documents get
loaded.
@mba: I analyzed the problem and talked with FME about this scenario: Idle
processing for layout+spellchecking is currently disabled only when keyboard
or mouse activity is detected. It should also be disabled when there is still
work to do, e.g. other document loads are still pending or some windows still
show only background instead of e.g. the first page.
