Please note that the attached example requires that a DSN named "northwind"
already exists on the test system and it must point to the standard mdb example
"Northwind" available from Microsoft web site here:

I'm opening only the issue for escape processing inconsistent behaviour since I
can't tell whether the query named "doesntwork" could lead to application freeze
also on other systems.
Feel free to add a separate bug report if the latter problem can be reproduced.
