WordPerfect is perfect, but I am slowly looking at switching to Oo or So. I have So (google pack) now. I was going to try to do my tasks in So, but the show stopper was the inability to replace spaces, ., or numbers with a simple tab. The tab replace is easy as we can easily change data files and export and import into a spread sheet, data base, or analysis package like SAS, SPSS, or Minitab. Yes, sometime I also replace with a hard return. The match and replace codes option in WP make it hard to beat. This has been a secret of for some data people in the know and allows us to be quick with data changes. If you could make this happen in Oo, then I can move forward. Money is tight so people are looking at options and I have been a MS critic for years. Thank you, David L.
