In OOo 2.2.0 Writer on Windows XP, ensure that the "OpenOffice.org Hunspell
SpellChecker" is enabled. Open a document and enter the string
"0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" (20 x's.) Now watch the cpu usage, and start adding x's
one at a time to the end of the string. The CPU usage goes up (apparently)
exponentially as more x's are added; getting to about 40 x's will cause the
application to efficitvely hang. Not that memory usage does not spike up, just
CPU usage.

The patten to trigger this bug is a digit (0, 1, etc.), then a string of x's.
Other letters (a, g, etc.) do not appear to cause the problem.

Workaround: disable the spellchecker, via Tools->Options->Language
Settings->Writing Aids->Available language modules->OpenOffice.org Hunspell
SpellChecker
