------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Aug 4 13:44:37 +0000 2008 ------- I also would like to see an 'absolute/relative' option mark on hyperlinks. In addition, I believe the actual hyperlink stored should not look like an absolute hyperlink, when it is really a relative one. Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no relative URL specification: file:///... is always absolute, but this should really be changed. It is extremely confusing to see an absolute URL, but the software handles it relative. Moreover, OOo does not convert automatically to a relative path everywhere! Data links from a form to a Base file for example, are always absolute. This behaviour should be changed, so a Base Database file and its interface (a Writer file) can be distributed together, without having to set the link again on every computer, when a central database is not needed or wanted. For example, we would keep such a Writer/Base file pair for some simple database in our office on an SVN server, but each use would have to have a different (absolute) link in his Writer file, making it impossible to store the Writer file on SVN. A relative link would solve the problem. In turn the same goes for the data sources in Base themselves. Although with a DBMS the link will be normally an absolute one, with file based databases (like Sqlite) a relative link will be generally more useful. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
