2008 -------
Originally, I believe that the document was created with Excel 2007 and saved as
an *.xlsx file. I'm not sure of the exact service pack when the document was
created, however I always kept up to date with patches etc. when on windows. I
made the transition to Ubuntu/Linux about 10 months ago, so whatever was the
service pack (if there was a service pack 10 months ago) for Excel 2007, I would
have had it applied.
I have always noticed that when opening Excel 2007 *.xlsx files in OpenOffice
calc versions 2.4 or 3.0 beta2, the majority of charts/graphs created in Excel
fail to open in the spreadsheet supplied with this bug (92272). Until now, I
have assumed that it was because those charts were based on referenced values
that didn't import correctly ("!" instead of ".") Consequently, I assumed when
the import filters were fixed the charts should have been fixed. Is there a way
the importing of charts can be fixed? Can you reopen this bug as a new bug? I.e.
can the importing of charts from xlsx files be fixed?
Cheers,
Alexander
