------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Aug 16 07:37:05 +0000 2008 ------- @meywer Ben states plainly in http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12735 that having Condensed a font family is a legacy deprecated property for systems that can not parse modern font attribute. It's not intended to be used by anything remotely current. Linux core font libraries have been switched to the modern behaviour after a grace period some time ago. Going back to the previous behaviour or activating both at once would be a regression. (and BTW opentype specs were written by entities like MS so trying to fight the tide would result in major compatibility problems in a few years) The problems occur at the OO.o level, which is still being updated to take font format changes into account. If you want to complain, complain this update is taking too long, do not ask to remove what progress has already been made by the fine developpers. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
