this is a double to Issue 53545
please have a look on my first comment at this Issue to understand why it works
as it works.
To solve your problem, just select the cell you want to change, open the context
menu and select default formatting from it. Now you have converted tzhe so
called Edit cell into a normal one and can change the formats as you like.
