This issue is specific to the MacOSX port (note the error message is "Apple AWT
Java VM...").
If you are having problems with Java and/or AWT on Windows, please open a
separate issue.
Also Java AWT in OOo 3.0beta2 works fine for me (WinXP) (as have earlier betas).
