@tora: The issue description is excellent again, thank you.

Since current milestones don't seem to have the problem anymore I wonder if we 
should apply the 
patch, though.
@pl: I'm not certain about the exact semantics of the 
PDFWriterImpl::registerGlyphs() method. Glyph 
fallback currently resolves all notdef glyphs into the base level and so the 
PDF-exported notdefs 
should come from this base level font too. Thus the patch setting the 
pMappedFontObjects[] to NULL 
when it should IMHO instead correspond to the base level font makes me worry a 
bit. Philipp?

@cmc: For glyph fallback related problems on X11 platform I'd also like to 
point out the most recently 
resolved issue 88376, which caused trouble in exactly this area for quite a 
while. I wonder if the 
problems tora found in the older versions were at least partly caused by it. 
Could the problems be 
explained by it?
