I checked with "Ooo-dev 3.0.0 Beta Multilingual version German UI WIN XP:
[OOO300m3 (Build9344)]" and can NOT confirm the reported effect. I created a
sample document with text in in 'English (GB)' using 2.4.1, and the text still
was 'English (GB)' when I opened the document in WRITER.

Can you also reproduce that problem with CALC and DRAW?
