Sorry, if it is a wrong place. I googled but found nothing like that at all.
Double click on all of the executables except one doesn't work. Double click
works only on OpenOffice.org Writer icon which says "Access is denied".
Originally no file type was assigned to .odt files and in general OpenOffice.org
user profile is not created (supposedly C:\Documents and
Settings\{username}\Application Data\Openoffice.org2..). I changed .odt file
associations manually to the Writer. The same: "Access is denied". Can it be
because of my ATA hard drives?

If this is helpful:
OOo_2.4.1_LinuxIntel_install_wJRE_en-US.tar.gz converted with alien from the
regular RPMs is OK on my Debian hard drive. I haven't tried anything but the
Writer, though. BUT
OOo_3.0.0beta2_20080707_LinuxIntel_install_wJRE_en-US.tar.gz crashes right on
start up.

Thanks for your help, rainerbielefeld.
