I checked "DataPilot5November2008.ods"with "2.4.1 Multilingual version German
UI WIN XP: [680m17(Build9310)]" and see the problem in the document, but I can
NOT confirm the reported effect when I create a new data pilot sheet.
Refresh data pilot table for me heals the problem in sheet "EDT dates"

for that, not for your OS)?
Please contribute a step by step instruction how to create a new data pilot
sheet demonstrating your problem.
