Open any OOo application, eg Impress
Create a blank presentation
Insert > Picture > from file
select uncompressed or lzw compressed tif images saved from Photoshop with image
mode set to 16 bits/channel
Images open, but with a strong red cast.
Images are here: http://www.onepoyle.net/tifs/file_format_comparison_unco16.tif
http://www.onepoyle.net/tifs/file_format_comparison_lzw16.tif

Formats should either be refused as unrecognised or, better, they should open
correctly.
