In fact the function does exactly what it is supposed to do, so the bug may be that the description of it in the dialog is misleading. But it wouldn't help fixing that, right? What we need is a new function that removes personal information *everywhere*. This is not only metadata but also comments - and perhaps also in text fields and change tracking, I assume.
